1. Our Privacy & Data Sovereignty Philosophy

At Omnient, LLC ("Omnient", "we", "our"), privacy is not an afterthought or a compliance checklist—it is the foundational architecture of our products.

  • Current Suite (100% Local-First): All currently shipped apps (myjournl, Kaanban) are 100% local-first and on-device with zero accounts, zero trackers, and zero cloud telemetry.
  • Future Cloud Capabilities: In the future, we may have applications that use the cloud, in which case the cloud capabilities will be opt-in, using end-to-end encryption and strict region-isolated data residency (e.g., US, EU/GDPR).

2. App Store & Google Play Privacy: "Data Not Collected"

Zero User Tracking & Zero Personal Data Collection

Omnient does not collect, link, track, or share any personal identity information, search history, contact cards, financial records, or location coordinates through our local-first applications.

  • Zero Advertising SDKs: We do not include Facebook, Google Ads, or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.
  • Zero Cloud Telemetry on Vault Content: Note contents, password records, task names, and cryptographic keys never leave your device.
  • Direct Wi-Fi Sync Isolation: Local subnet synchronization operates exclusively over your local router and does not transit Omnient servers.

3. Data Storage, Encryption & Regional Residency

  • On-Device Storage: Local-first apps store your private notes, tasks, and journals directly on your local device filesystem in sandboxed SQLite databases.
  • Encrypted Vaults: Password vault credentials in myjournl are encrypted client-side using Argon2id and AES-256-GCM before writing to disk. We never hold master decryption keys.
  • Strict Regional Residency for Future Cloud Services: Any future cloud capabilities will use region-specific infrastructure with TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest, respecting regional data compliance laws.
  • Zero Data Brokerage: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or harvest your personal information or metrics under any circumstances.
